Over the last three decades I've been playing music in various garage bands and have written goofy and very fishy songs all along. This CD is a collection of 16 original tunes recorded and performed by my current Ketchikan based band, the Ratfish Wranglers back in the spring of 2007. After a year of production work, its finally done and features some incredible musical contributions by all the band members. |

The album is called Where the Fins Meet the Frets. It was recorded and mixed by Stephen Jackson and Stron Softi at Narrows Perch studio here in K-town by the sea. Final mix and mastering was done by Albert McDonnell of Skatebottom Sound in Juneau. The CD includes a 16 page full color, densely illustrated lyric book gloriously designed by Laura Lucas also of Juneau. The CD itself features a blazing hot pink ratfish with glittering silver eyes. What can I say? We poured it on! Check out the ultra-cool Ratfish Wranglers "Ratfish Rule" music video on youtube at :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2r1qChVtQI |

Paleontologist Kirk Johnson and I started on a book project way back in the last century and finally after 5,000 miles on the fossil filled road weve given birth to one heck of a fun, fact-filled book. Cruisin the Fossil Freeway, published by Fulcrum Press, is truly a book for both sides of your brain. Its 208 pages of all new paleo art by yours truly, tons of glorious graphics, color photos, and Kirks easy to read scientific travel narrative. You can get autographed copies directly from the Soho Coho by clicking here. To read reviews and lots more about the new book click here. |
