SALMON SKULL ART POSTER
I’ve had this idea kicking around in my head for a while now. The inspiration to draw a human skull made of hundreds of salmon comes from a few different sources, primarily the extraordinary art from Day of the Dead celebrations (Dia de Muertos), giant skull themed T-shirts I’ve spotted on streets around the world, and rubbing elbows with artists like Lee Downey at Artifactual at the Tucson gem and mineral show.
It took about four weeks to pencil out and ink the original image, then scan it and clean it up in photoshop. I turned to the ultra-talented Memo Jauregui to add digital color to the pen an ink.
