DATA IN THE STRATA

I’m a self-described Paleo-nerd in love with all things prehistoric. I’ve loved dinosaurs since I was knee-high to a pterodactyl. That’s when I first started scribbling pictures of them with my Crayolas. The more erudite folks out there might say that this should actually read “the data are in the strata” but most folks now accept that data can also be a singular noun.

The classic vehicle in this image is a 1949 Chevy suburban named Spyker, driven, my by my buddy and fellow artist, Chuck Bonner. Note that Charlie Darwin is riding in the backseat, looking just a bit like Mr. Natural, of R. Crumb fame.
