In 2015 I was lucky enough to be the artist in residence at Brooks Camp in Katmai National Park and Preserve arguably the best spot in the world to see Alaska brown bears up close and personal. It was truly inspiring to say the least. I was able to take lots of photos from the observation decks. This drawing is based on a number of those photos.
