I did this pen and ink drawing way back in 1977 shortly after I moved to Seattle and the great northwest. I was working at various dead end jobs and the spirit of that stretch in my life is certainly reflected in this insanely detailed piece. The “Temptation of St. Anthony” is an often repeated subject in the history of art, and this my take on it full of wild demons surrounding the poor chap in the robe. I also call this one “Find the Duck the Frog and the Bunny Rabbit”. Yes, they’re all in there. This colorful version is a new take on the piece with some coloring help from Grace Freeman.
