I spent most of 1998 painting this large mural, Kings, for the local high school in Ketchikan. The Kayhi mascot is the King Salmon, so I riffed on all the names, places, and things that are called ‘kings’. The painting, made up of sixty-eight squares, has everything in it from Elvis to a trilobite named Elrathia kingii.
