RIVER RAYS
Stingrays are found all over the Amazon River basin. There are over twenty different species, most of which are adorned with spectacular camouflage patterns. Thanks to their poisonous stingers, which pack a powerful punch, they are feared by the locals more than piranhas. When I was in Brazil I quickly learned to do the ‘stingray shuffle’ when wading in shallow water, kicking the sand in front of me before plunking my foot down. The 22 x 47 inch print of this looks incredible!
