SALMONSCAPE ART POSTER

Pacific salmon are anadromous fish, born as orphans in freshwater streams, migrating out to sea to spending most of their life in the open ocean and then returning to the place of their birth to spawn and die, within the coastal landscapes of the rainy north Pacific. They bring nutrients from the ocean right into the forests and literally become part of the trees and shrubbery that line the streams of their birth. My scientist pal Sarah Mesnick casually uttered this phrase at a meeting we were both at and it immediately resonated with me. Memo Jauregui did the digital coloring on this one.
