2010-Recent

Highlights from the last decade include completing the “Fishes of the Salish Sea” mural for the University of Washington in 2011, the “Blue Seas, Green Seas” exhibit at the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History, the “Buzz Saw Sharks of Long Ago” traveling museum show, the “Prairie Ocean: Long Time No Sea” show in Kansas with Chuck Bonner and last but certainly not least, the completion of the “Cruisin’ the Fossil Coastline” book project with Dr. Kirk Johnson.

Cruisin’ the Fossil Coastline

The Travels of an Artist and a Scientist along the Shores of the Prehistoric Pacific

This is artwork from my second ambitious book project with my paleobotanist pal Dr. Kirk Johnson. We spent nearly a decade hunting fossils along North America’s west coast, hanging out with fellow paleo-nerds, visiting museums and sleuthing out untold stories of extinct worlds. We received a joint Guggenheim Fellowship in 2011 to support the many trips we took along the way. The book has spawned a traveling museum exhibit created in collaboration with the Anchorage Museum.
