Sharks

Helicoprion Exhibit

In 2013 I partnered with the Idaho Museum of Natural History in mounting a touring museum exhibit all about the weirdly wonderful paleozoic shark named Helicoprion (Latin for “spiral saw”). We titled the show “The Buzz Saw Sharks of Long Ago”. Susan Ewing’s book ‘Resurrecting the Shark” tells the amazing story behind solving the mystery surrounding this enigmatic Permian aged creature. This is the artwork I produced for the touring exhibit.

Sharkabet

My alphabetical look at living and extinct sharks was published by Westwinds Press in 2002 and has been going strong ever since.

“In this distinctive and beautifully illustrated shark alphabet book, published in association with the American Museum of Natural History, Troll celebrates the shark’s diverse family tree. With concise text and exceptionally detailed pastel-like illustrations, he matches a species to each letter.”
